The First Brushstroke of a New Chapter: Why This Website Is Just the Beginning

A lifelong ambition

For as long as I can recall, an ambition has quietly ticked away in the background: to step forward as a full-time professional artist. Not someone who paints when the calendar accidentally clears, or who steals an hour at the easel late in the evening, but an artist who dedicates every waking ounce of creative energy to painting and visual art.

That single phrase — full-time — has been my guiding compass, and on 24 September 2026, another vital component of that dream finally began to breathe.

Today, this website officially launches.

Building a digital home

Getting to this point has not been a solo endeavour. Over the last six months, countless cups of tea, late-night chats and planning sessions took place with my good friend David Lilley. David has been an invaluable sounding board and support in pulling this digital home together, helping translate years of ideas into a space where my work can live, breathe and connect with people.

What you see here today is an opening chapter. Right now, the gallery offers a small flavour of the original pieces currently available for purchase. Like many artists who have spent a lifetime creating, I look back with a touch of melancholy at the hundreds of finished works from years gone by that I never properly documented or retained copies of. They are out in the world, living on other people’s walls.

But this website will not remain static. It is designed to evolve continuously, growing week by week as fresh work leaves the studio and new pieces dry on the rack.

Bespoke work and many disciplines

Beyond the existing collection, I warmly welcome requests for bespoke commissions. If you have explored the site or watched my introductory video, you will already know that my approach refuses to stay inside a single, predictable box.

Art, for me, is about dialogue and versatility. I work across virtually any medium:

• Delicate, layered watercolours
• Rich, textured traditional oils
• Sharp, expressive spray art
• Contemporary synthetic and acrylic formulations

The surface matters just as much as the paint. Whether working on stretched linen canvas, reclaimed wooden board or broad architectural surfaces, the craft adapts to the vision. Under the appropriate contract, I am fully equipped to undertake large-scale interior and exterior wall murals anywhere in the world.

Equally, I take immense pride in translating someone else’s distinct idea into visual reality. Whether you have a deeply personal concept you want captured on canvas, or you represent an organisation requiring artwork created strictly in line with defined corporate brand guidelines, I can interpret and deliver that vision faithfully.
