1. Introduction and Scope

These terms and conditions govern the purchase of all artworks supplied through this website, comprising both pre-produced prints and bespoke, commissioned original pieces. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

2. Print Orders and Delivery

All art prints are produced to order, carefully bubble-wrapped, and clearly marked as fragile to ensure maximum protection during transit.

• Receipt of Fragile Deliveries: Because prints are susceptible to handling damage, please ensure you are available at your specified delivery address to receive and sign for the package. Alternatively, you must arrange a safe, secure, dry, and designated storage location with the carrier where fragile items will not be exposed to weather or impact.
• Framing and Glass Restrictions: To minimise the risk of breakage and irreparable surface scratching in transit, prints are supplied unglazed and unframed. We do not dispatch frames containing standard picture glass due to high transit damage rates.

3. Original and Commissioned Artworks

Original works—including oil paintings and bespoke watercolours—require tailored handling and specific logistical arrangements depending on the scale and medium of the piece.

The Consultation Process

Every commission begins with an initial creative consultation, conducted either face-to-face or via a secure video call. During this discussion, we explore your vision, desired aesthetic, and specific requirements. You are encouraged to provide reference materials, colour palettes, or examples of existing artwork to illustrate the flavour and mood you wish to achieve.

Proposal and Specification

Following the initial consultation, you will receive a formal written commission brief setting out:

• A thorough description of the agreed artistic direction;
• The exact dimensions and scale of the completed work;
• The specific materials, supports, and pigments to be employed;
• The total agreed price and itemised payment stages;
• A target delivery date, accompanied by a maximum delivery timeframe.

You must formally approve this brief via written confirmation before any studio work commences.

Delivery Timeframes for Commissions

Because original paintings require dedicated drying, curing, and varnishing periods, curing schedules may vary slightly. While every effort is made to meet the agreed target delivery date, this schedule may be extended by up to seven working days without constituting a breach of contract. Should any unforeseen studio delay require an extension beyond the seven-day allowance, you will be notified in writing at the earliest opportunity.

4. Pricing and Payment Structure

• Print Orders: Payment for all prints must be completed in full at the point of checkout prior to production and dispatch.
• Commissions: Commissioned works operate on a staged payment model:

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price is payable upon written approval of the commission brief to secure studio time and acquire materials. Work begins only once this deposit has cleared.
• The remaining balance of 50% falls due upon completion of the artwork, following photographic proof of the finished piece.

• Dispatch Policy: No original painting or print will be dispatched or handed over until cleared funds for the final balance, including any agreed specialist shipping charges, have been received in full.

5. Specialist Transit for Original Artworks

Unlike reproduction prints, original oil paintings and watercolours are assessed individually for transport. Appropriate delivery arrangements—ranging from bespoke timber crating to dedicated fine-art couriers—will be established according to the medium, dimensions, and fragility of the completed piece. Clear transit instructions and tracking details will be supplied once final payment has cleared.
